Desert A La Mode
Being out in the desert means there's always the rare chance of heat stroke, severe dehydration and, sometimes, even an encounter with a rather inconsiderate, rude national park patrol.
The latter scenario occurred while we were soaking up the natural beauty surrounding an off the beaten path trail, popular for daytime hikes as evidenced by the amount of brave passerbys we saw enduring the blazing heat. Simply put, I never thought we'd get personally removed or escorted out of an environment that was so seemingly...public and for all to enjoy. Funny how when you decide to escape away from civilization and into isolation - rules still pertain. Chalk that one up to another lesson learned.
Of course, like the rockstars we are, all of us walked away gracefully (with the patrol officer following very closely...) and fortunately with some photographs we were proud of and happy to share.
Anything for the 'gram I suppose. Am I right?
For now, I am going to peace out for the weekend and mentally map out all how I am going to wrap up some pending projects. Like finally assembling all the furniture I ordered for my studio office and then repeating the process when I move into a new place (more on that soon, too). The hustle and bustle continues as per usual. Keep those eyes peeled. Stay tuned.
