A real life review of this everyday fashion sneaker

This story is brought to you in partnership with Nike. All content, images and opinions expressed here are my own.

My relationship with Nike sneakers go way back. It was the first sneaker I had ever purchased as a gift to myself when I got first paying job as a senior in high school. And you never quite forget your first. Since then I’ve amassed quite the collection of running as well as unique, designer Nike sneakers (yes, including the fan-fave Martine Rose drop!)

The Nike Air Max 720

WHY I LOVE IT

So when the Nike Air Max 720 debuted, with a taller, more visually distinct version of its signature sole, I had to have it. I’ve been putting these sneakers through the gauntlet of my everyday activities, which entails a lot of commuting, strolling around different neighborhoods and content creation shoots. It definitely stands up to the test and pairs well with my personal style aesthetic. The entire experience with the Air Max 720 is similar to walking on air or as close as you can get to it without being an otherworldly deity. I am a fan.

SIZING

If you’ve worn Nikes before but have grown a bit over the years, I highly recommend going a half size up. These Air Max 720s are the perfect fit for me at 8.5 (US Men’s). Anything bigger or smaller wouldn’t be nearly as comfortable. You can also easily get a hold of a Nike customer service representative via their online chat should there be any further inquiries on sizing.

FINAL THOUGHTS

The Nike Air Max 720 comes highly recommended, especially if you are an avid sneaker head and need to be out on the field for hours on end like me. The inflated sole (an impressive 38mm Nike Air unit) gives you that extra support without any added bulk to the weight of the shoe, making each step more ergonomic with style aplomb.
