Erdem x H&M: Wildflower meets Urban Safari
It's an urban safari out there, according to Erdem x H&M.
Just like the mini-film that Baz Luhrmann so effervescently captured for Erdem's recent collaboration with H&M under the premise of being "young, wild and free," I catch myself pondering similar reveries as I was racing and wading through DTLA traffic in order to catch this glorious sunset afterglow on a Friday afternoon. Impossibilities layered upon impossibilities, but somehow I managed.
Like most Angelenos, both old and new, there is this unending thirst for the pursuit. Whether that is success, happiness or meaning. We pursue the intangible with passion, grit and alacrity. To bend the rules and make new ones as we go along the way. Sometimes we're so caught up in this limitless marathon that we forget about the finish lines for a precious moment to just be.
WHAT I WORE

Just being isn't a comfortable concept for Millennials and the emerging youth, because our identity is in a constant flux, rubbles waiting to be cemented. We're scrambling to pick up fragments of our identity, as every other viral article attempts to bring us down by the very individuals that raised us. We're damned if we do, we're damned if we don't, is a mantra that comes to mind.
My way of remedying that simmering state of uncertainty is to face life head-on, with a cheetah-like prowess. Steady, stealthy and unwavered. Why not make a statement and own your narrative before anyone else preemptively tries to do so for you? It's time that we come out from hiding in our respective digital "bushes" to play, to revel and to make our presence known.
