3 Simple Ways to Upgrade Your Office Space + Giveaway

With three functional, statement and essential pieces from Fab.com

Right before packing and leaving for Denmark, I decided to abruptly rearrange my office studio after receiving some very special pieces from Fab.com. (Yes, I just finished finally furnishing my office studio less than two weeks ago.) It was an arduous one and a half day of intense decorating and rearranging - totally worth it, however. I’ve been a long-time, loyal shopper and peruser of the now-massive, e-commerce site since its humble beginnings. And I’ve never been able to resist their awesome curation of brands and products.

Ultimately, though, your space should be a reflection, expression and extension of who you are. A space where you can freely be yourself — at all times — and find inspiration for the quality of life you want to establish.

Here’s how I transformed my office studio using three items from Fab

1. A typographic neon light.

When I discovered that Fab stocked neon lights from NEON MFG, I immediately jumped on the opportunity to purchase one. They’re like graphic tees that literally light up and accent office walls. Plus, they make for great Instagram moments.

2. A multi-function, minimal ladder.

Decorative ladders can be rather functional, especially this one from Umbra. I can use it to hang my clothing and keep things organized. It also helps define the area in which it is placed, whether it’s in a corner nook or to accent a sparse wall in any room. I intend on purchasing some tapestry to keep it visually interesting very soon.

3. A metallic clock.

With the advent of smart phones and devices, the necessity for a wall clock has progressively declined. Call me nostalgic, but I have a soft spot for clocks. It’s a great way to tell time when your phone isn’t within reach and spruces up any boring wall in the room. I actually used mine as an anchor for these three finger hooks from Interior Illusions. They align so well together to create an art exhibition effect that’s inspired by modern museums that I consider as one of my main sources of inspiration.

Ultimately, though, your space should be a reflection, expression and extension of who you are. A space where you can freely be yourself — at all times — and find inspiration for the quality of life you want to establish. It should be a welcoming space for all - and the monetary value shouldn’t be the determining factor. This is why we’ve partnered up with Fab.com to give one of you a chance to win a $1000 shopping spree! All you have to enter using the Gleam widget below. Deadline is 6/22/16, 11:59PM PST. Good luck!
