#MrTurkOnDeck: A SS16 Cruise Lookbook

Color is not my forte - something I openly admit to everyday. This wasn’t always the case, however. Just a couple of years back, I wore color consistently (just look through the archives) — almost on a daily basis. As my full-time work schedule became increasingly jam-packed and life’s obstacles grew more relentless, my mood shifted to neutrals, blacks and the like to create a protective barrier of sorts. We all have all comfort blankets, and the monochromatic life was mine.

My recent trip on the Celebrity Cruises - Silhouette in the East Caribbean was the appropriate catalyst that I needed to experiment with color again. And I had the perfect candidate in mind, because if I was going to wear color I was going to go out all. Full-on florals and prints. My friends over at Mr. Turk were generous enough to send over some key pieces from their SS16 collection. Constructed out of quality fabrics and designed in flattering silhouettes - even on a small-framed guy like me - the pieces were my uniform du jour on and off the cruise ship.

The time spent on the cruise was incredibly memorable (I’ve saved all the details for a separate post, don’t worry), and each outfit was tied to a special occasion, situation or moment. I decided the best way to capture the essence of that was to put together a lookbook comprising of said outfits against the dramatic backdrops of Caribbean sunsets and locales. How did it turn out? Have a peek and let me know what you think!

We're also giving you the opportunity to win a $250 giftcard from Mr. Turk! All you have to do is enter below before the deadline on 4/12/16. Good luck!
