Summer to Fall in 2 Simple Outfits

Yep, tis the season to transition. Into a more weather-appropriate wardrobe, that is. While Fall weather is still an anomaly at this time of year here in LA and other humidity-ridden regions of the country, I can feel almost feel the crisp winds and wafting smells of pumpkin-spice lattes in the air. But until then, I’ve been devising creative ways and clinging onto summer tank tops so I can comfortably exist in the heat.

Such is this case with this casual take on a Fall transition outfit. I’m a huge fan of sleeveless anything, so when I happened upon this piece during a recent shopping excursion at H&M - I knew I had to have it. It’s from their Conscious Collection, so you know it’s both organic and sustainably manufactured. And at $5.95, it’s a no-brainer addition for the minimalist wardrobe. Then there the distressed denim - I used to have a love/hate relationship with them but now it’s staple. I have been living in and breaking them in.  It makes me want go into my dresser and give some of my old denim pieces some distressed lovin’. If I ever do, you guys will be the first to know.

The second fit is what I’d wear to meetings, events and cocktail parties - all day, everyday. It’s so fantastically chic. I can’t get enough of the very Acne Studios-esque sweater - it fits like a glove and the mixed cotton material makes it surprisingly light for the warmer Fall months we’re preparing for. Paired with distressed black denim and a pebble leather tote bag, it’s a complete ensemble ready any situation that comes your way.
