MYBELONGING X KAO PAO SHU MOVEMENT COLLECTION

:

Approximately a year ago, I met Naida and Marco at the KAO PAO SHU warehouse space to preview their upcoming SS14 collection. There was an immediate sense of hospitality and warmth when I walked in, which is true to their European heritage (Sicilian and Bosnian, respectively), and we all became quick kindred spirits and collaborators. The preview went smoothly and accompanied with plenty of wine of course.

I started off wearing their backpacks, because of how accessible they are in terms of streamlined design and function. They are also made out of the most durable, webbing ribbons ever - machine-washable and nearly indestructible. These are the qualities I look for in everyday bags.

And that's what we exactly sought out to achieve when we decided to partner up on a capsule collection. 6 months in the making. 5 unique pieces. Minimal. Unisex. Functional. Join the MOVEMENT:

This collection meant a lot to me on a a personal level; primarily because, it's been a mission of mine to bridge the gender divide when it comes to fashion and personal style. We're taking one step closer to that reality with the debut of #MBxKPS.

We would like to thank

TRAFFIC LA

for hosting our private launch party and being the first store to sell the collection! More importantly, we would like to thank all of media and influencer friends for coming through (particularly

AskMen

and
