AN AIRBNB GETAWAY IN PALM SPRINGS

Words simply can’t capture those treasured moments of bliss and liberation from the daily stressors of living in Los Angeles.

Although the thought of escaping and staying at one of the many world class resorts was raised, we quickly warmed up to the idea of staying at the

plethora of modern homes

available in the area through Airbnb.

What made

Airbnb

even more appealing was not the cost factor but rather the opportunity to really spend time rekindling the individual friendships, diluted over time and busy schedules, under the same roof. An initial concern of mine at first was the space, but it surpassed my expectations and housed all of us comfortably. The large, angular pool became a place of community for us, where I particularly enjoyed dipping into as the sun was setting and sipping a deliciously-crafted cocktail. Words simply can’t capture those treasured moments of bliss and liberation from the daily stressors of living in Los Angeles.

The interior design of the house was definitely inspired by

Andy Warhol's famous pop art

. You never know what cheeky surprise awaits you at every corner.

These

Tretorn eco-lite shoes

were certainly made for ergonomic comfort and style. This photo turned out to be

unexpectedly Coveteur-ish

. Not mad at all.

I guess it wouldn't be a complete Palm Springs experience without outfit shots in front of some palm tree porn. This lounge-y chic ensembles comprises of some key pieces from the

Scrapes & Gravel SS14 collection

- it's been a while since I've tried on a white fleece sweatshirt that I want to be in all day. The slightly drop-crotch trousers fits and hits all the right spots for me, too. All in all, an outfit that one can wear around the poolside from day to night.
