These past few months have been extremely draining, hectic but rewarding for both Martin and me. As creatives in our professional lives, we're constantly on the go and on our toes. So when

approached us to be their

for Los Angeles, we were super excited to embark on a long overdue staycation.

We naturally gravitated towards

The Line Hotel

located in the vibrant community of

here in Los Angeles. It was an obvious choice for us -- we're huge fans of

Roy Choi's repertoire of restaurants

and other

Sydell Group projects

. If you've been following our journey on

, we're sure you'd feel the same way!

In line with our staycation mentality, we didn’t stray too far for breakfast, dinner and drinks either. (Okay, we did end up going to the

Crystal Spa

nearby for a rather intense accupressure massage — but that’s a mandatory stop whenever you’re in K-Town!) The Line Hotel has all your culinary needs covered as one would expect anytime Roy Choi’s involved! Drinks at

were inventive, refreshing and extremely tasty; I opted for the celery cocktail whereas Martin went for the one with basil. It was the perfect, mid-day break, topped off with a side of Lay’s Limon potato chips (#wesofancy).

Dinner at

hit all the right notes for us as well: 1) Authentic Korean cuisine with a fusion twist, 2) Best Korean pancakes, ever 3) Spicy, spicy, spicy! We couldn’t get enough — it was as if we were on a gastronomic high. How punny is that?

A staycation wouldn't be complete without our favorite mens grooming and hair styling products from

We've died and gone to decor heaven with this

Victoria and Albert

freestanding bathtub made out of volcanic limestone. It also comfortably fits two ;)

Nothing quite like room service to satisfy your bubbly cravings.

, which is my awesome friend

own clothing collection! It pairs even more awesomely with my

Before checking out the next morning, we had to stop by the

POT Cafe

— both the breakfast pizza with poached eggs and custard bun will change your life.

The Poketo outpost on the lobby level. If you're a fan of the Downtown Arts District flagship store, you'll love this one!

Without a doubt, our very impromptu staycation at

The Line Hotel

surpassed our expectations and more. We can’t thank the The Line Hotel staff (special shout-out to their Assistant General Manager, Nicole!) and

for bringing us there as HTInsiders!
