During my second trip up north last month, I realized I was completely under packed and under prepared for the marine layer cold. This called for some quick, drastic measures that resulted in what I am referring to as "triple layering." Somehow this worked in my favor, as my velvety, Christina Yi neoprene sweater co-mingled quite nicely with the Pendleton wool shirt and Michael Kors turtleneck.

The drizzly weather of San Francisco proved to be an opportune time to snap a few shots whilst exploring my friends' picturesque condo rooftop. By the way, how wickedly exquisite is the view?

Wearing Christina Yi's neoprene shirt from her SS14 collection, which I had the privilege of getting

up close and personal with this past NYFW

, made it extra special. In the current sea of graphic and printed sweaters, the neoprene variety has a way of reeling me in. Christina Yi's couture take on reinventing the classic sweater brings it to the next level. Christina puts so much heart, soul and symbolism into her breathtaking work that it makes me a bit sad to be missing out on her runway show this season. Here's to another win for the future of menswear!
