GLENDALE GALLERIA'S FASHION-PACKED BLOOMINGDALE'S

FROM BUD TO BLOOM: THE NEWEST BLOOMINGDALE'S IS OPEN FOR BUSINESS.

What has been previously living in the shadows of The Americana and showing its age, the

Glendale Galleria

received a much-needed facelift this week with the grand opening of its

new Bloomingdale's store

. The first impression I got, upon arriving at the press preview earlier this week, was a visual testament to the meaning of "fashion-packed." From the cheekily embellished mannequins down to the gleaming birdcage, every facet of the store made it a visual tour-de-force. Jack Hruska, head of creative services, and his team truly did an outstanding job in creating a one-of-a-kind, retail experience.

But what about the clothes and accessories?

Well, I am happy to report that Bloomingdale's, time and time again, demonstrates its strong buying sensibilities when it comes to acquiring a mix of high and low labels, including independent brands like the lust-worthy

Clover Canyon

Michael Stars

and

Wildfox

. The roster doesn't stop there:

and many of my favorite international labels are all housed in the same store as well.
