This past weekend, I had the opportunity to check out Steven Alan's newest optical collection at their awesomely-curated, La Brea store with the most lovable decor. Steven Alan himself was there to speak about the design philosophy behind the collection, its sturdy construction and even namesake origins (fun fact: the frames are named after actual boarding schools). I was immediately drawn to Graham Black, because they had such a versatile yet classic silhouette to them. However, with summer just around the corner, I couldn't resist the temptation of the Willard Matte Tortoise either.

Naturally, I wasn't able to make a quickfire decision at the store during the preview. The online store is a dream to use, thankfully, with comprehensive views of all the frames and tidbits of descriptive copy to guide you along your decision making. As a working professional in the digital world, I applaud Steven Alan's efforts in making their e-commerce sites a totally responsive and user-friendly experience. Mad props for that alone!

Thanks again, Steven Alan, for having me again! I had such a lovely time previewing the new collection, while interacting with new and old friends alike. To see which frames I had chosen, keep your eyes open on my Instagram!

P.S. If you're looking to start your Father's Day shopping, look no further!
