You never forget your first. The first fashion show in my case. But that isn't the only reason why I have a hard time shaking off my experience at Tadashi Shoji's Spring/Summer 2013 showcase during NYFW: It's the chantilly lace, exquisite chiffons, velvety details and the China-porcelain blue, baroque prints.

There is a certain enchanting spirit that is endowed in almost all the pieces that came down the runway that morning. All of the dresses and gowns are accessible, yet still retain that beautiful artistry that is signature to the Tadashi Shoji aesthetic. And it is what I envision what every woman (and by every, I mean of all proportions and ethnicities) would want to be wear to any special occasion. Need I remind you that Octavia Spencer wore Tadashi all Oscar season long last year? She looked beyond ravishing in that hand-beaded, couture dress.

Without a doubt, Tadashi Shoji is for the everyday woman hoping to live out her everyday fantasy. Find out how you can purchase a Tadashi Shoji dress here.
