Aside from Givenchy's recent mens collections, I've been crushing hard on what Lanvin and Kenzo delivered on their runaway in Paris for the Spring/Summer 2013 season. It's almost as if Elbaz and Humberto Leon/Carol Lim read my mind, dissected it and produced such imaginary creations that bring a much-needed spice, revival and vibrance to menswear.

The Lanvin SS 2013 mens collection pumps up its characteristic, hardcore post-apocalyptic look, with severe hair styles, lots of mesh, sheer and leather. This is contrasted with a fine fragility that is evoked by the perfectly-tailored trousers. I absolutely adore how the tank tops are tucked into these said trousers, creating the ideal balance between a high and low brow look. And because I do this all the time myself, maybe it's time I consider calling myself "the Lanvin kinda guy."

With Humberto Leon and Carol Lim on helm as creative directors, founders of the much celebrated boutique, Opening Ceremony, Kenzo is one step closer to reclaiming its prominence in the Paris fashion scene. I am naturally drawn to the animal print embroidery. This might also be the first time I'll ever contemplate wearing a silhouette that is more boxy and less fitted. But overall, I love the playful and street-style aesthetic. They're so on point.

Oh, how I wish I could be in Paris to visually digest all this.
